Like A Rolling Stone

Yes it's finally friday afternoon, hoorayy! While I was in Sydney recently it was so nice to get some photos in a different environment to where I live, you know the ones..sun, beach, sand yadah yadah.  I hung out for a few hours with the beautiful Jysla and we found some awesome little side streets, it was so much fun.  Well I hope you guys have all had a great week, I'm looking forward to the weekend...let the sun shine!  xx

The Life Aquatic

You'll be happy to know that today I am wearing a skirt!  I know it's something that most of us wear everyday but for me I can never seem to quite find a skirt that's the right length, shape or cut.  When I recently came across Emma Mulholland's latest collection inspired by aquatic goodness I was in love. Digital prints featuring Great Whites, mesh detailing and shark tooth hemlines I was sold. Bring on the life aquatic baby.. xx

Ae'lkemi

Why hello there and happy Friday!  I've always felt as though fashion and music have an intrinsic connection.  Courtney Love once said.."Rock is all about writing your own script, it's all about pioneering".  The same could be said about fashion or the way that you could perceive personal style.  For me, those who always stand out in the fashion pack are the ones who march to the beat of their own drum, smash the guitar on the main stage and crowd dive into the audience with reckless abandon. So embrace your inner Axel, throw on some heavy metal..music or jewellery and get ready to rock'n'roll baby...xx

Pajama Party

So you might've realised by now I think I'm in love with all things pajama-like.  Since we saw hints of good ole grandpa pj stylin' on the catwalks I've been in heaven.  I just can't help it, they're so comfortable and easy to wear, get your pj print pants happening and join the pajama party!

You can check out the rest of my post 'here' on the Harpers Bazaar Style Network...xx

Low Rider

I don't know what it is but there's something about this shirt that reminds me of the movie Kill Bill. Lately I've noticed the resurgence of shirts like this on the catwalk, some even giving the appearance of the kind of evening wear that one would only wear to bed. Paired with a well cut trouser however this little number can be transformed into the kind of shirt that Uma Thurman would be happy to kick some serious butt in!

Sports Day

Well actually this would probably be the most uncomfortable and impractical outfit that you could ever wear on a sports day but I always say 'fashion before comfort', haha!
You can check out the rest of my post with all of the details here at Harpers Bazaar and hoping that you all have a wicked weekend..xx

Pinky

No you're not imagining things my hair is really pink.  Well, I cannot tell you how close I was to cutting my hair shoulder length but this was the alternative and I must admit the better choice of the two.  It's so weird someone asked me today how I felt about having pink hair and I think I am in love!  Besides the fact that  I'm already kind of a red head, having pink hair right now is very convenient.  I don't know how it's happened but I own an alarming amount of pastel pieces at the moment and pink hair is the perfect accessory.  Well, we'll see how long it lasts and hopefully this saves me from chopping it all off for the now..stay tuned.. xx

Elegantly Waisted

For someone that never wore colour I've managed to gain quite a fondness for some of the brightest shades of the season.  I think I'm one of those people that will avoid a trend and then one day wake up and feel overcome with the need to give it a whirl.  My theory however is to do so slowly and in small doses (due to some tragic experimentation in high school..haha the evidence will never be revealed!).  I love the neon orange embellishment on this Magdalena Velevska dress, it's just the right amount of colour for me.  You can head on over to the Harpers Bazaar Style Network to see the rest of my look.
Hoping that you have a colourful weekend .... xx mandy

Coco Says..

Coco Chanel once said that before you leave the house you should take one thing off.  Well I know that you can't disagree with Coco but I always seemed to live by the rule that before you leave the house it's fun to add one extra piece.  You can check out the rest of my post for the Harpers Bazaar Style Network here, hopefully Coco wouldn't mind....  xx mandy

Sun Dance

Finally the sun has come out in the place where I live.  Ironically would believe sunshine is part of the name of the area and this is the first rays we've seen in nearly 2 weeks.  Such beautiful weather requires a girl to run out to the nearest beachside area and dance around in radiant glee with the odd hair whip thrown in just for good measure.
Funnily enough I had this leather shirt made in Bali over a year ago but always felt a little bit like a leather recliner chair since the shade of brown is questionable.   Lately however it's been getting more than it's well earned debut since I realised it's potential.  Fable of the story is never overlook that random item in the back of your wardrobe and dance while the sun is shining.. xx mandy

Fox Tales

Am I the only one that feels as though they have the worlds skinniest lips and that lipstick is something that's better left to the Lana Del Ray's of the world?  Well, when I do wear it I tend to go all out and that usually means the brighter the colour the better.  For this weeks Harpers Bazaar post you'll see me don the red lippy and faux fur fox tail as no other colour or accessory goes so well with black leather.

Dont' Rock The Rock

This is by no means a real outfit post but a bit of a snap shot into a little place that I visited last weekend.  I've been so busy lately that I've found it virtually impossible to get some really decent personal shots but stay tuned as I have some really cool piccies for you guys coming soon.
I just thought it might be nice to share some of my personal weekend photos with you instead of nothing at all, oh and in case you would like to stay a bit more up to date I've been posting during the week on my facebook page..here.
